Zoolab Visit Reception

In Reception we have been learning about nocturnal and diurnal animals. We went on a diurnal animal hunt outside and saw lots of birds and a squirrel running around in the trees. We also found lots of bugs and even a little lizard! We have been talking about different shelters, and why animals and people might need shelter to live.

We recently had some very exciting visitors. Zoolab came and they bought some different animals for us to meet.

The children enjoyed touching them - everyone was really brave! They were also very good at keeping quiet as we didn't want to scare the animals.

We learnt about whether the animals were nocturnal or diurnal and talked about different animals' habits.
