GLF Schools

GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Uniform

School uniform gives a sense of identity to all our children. It shows clearly that the children all belong to the same school family and instils a sense of pride for our school and in each other.

From September 2025 we will be introducing a brand new uniform for Lightwater Village School, based on feedback from parents regarding the quality and durability of our existing uniform also and to reflect the aligning of our Infant and Junior Schools to provide a continuous and consistent educational journey for our pupils within the Lightwater community.

Children at our Infant School will be permitted to wear the existing school uniform until September 2026 to minimise wastage of existing stock. The new school uniform will shortly be available to buy from Valentino’s Schoolwear in Knaphill. Please find below a link to further details about our new uniform that will serve pupils from Reception to Year 6.

LVSPA

We ask that all children have full school uniform, worn correctly, for daily attendance at school. Uniform will also be worn on occasions when children are representing the school, including school visits.

Parents and carers are asked to co-operate fully by providing the uniform and ensuring all articles of clothing and other items brought into school are clearly marked with the child’s name.

Parents requiring assisstance with purchasing school uniform or equipment can request a conversation with our Family Support Adviser Val Goggin. We can discuss how the school may be able to contribute to the cost. Please contact the school office.
