Reception 2024

Dear Parent/Guardian,

 

We are delighted that you have been offer a place at Lightwater Village School for your child to attend from September 2024 and we are thrilled to be welcoming you to our wonderful school.  Please ensure you accept your place via Surrey Admissions no later than 30^th April.

 

Starting school is a big event in a young child’s life and we carefully plan our induction programme to support children settling happily into school. This transition will start with an information session for parents and our ‘stay and play’ visits. 
 

• The Information session for parents will take place in the school hall on Wednesday 19^th June at 6pm.
• Children will then be offered the opportunity to attend two ‘stay and play’ sessions, firstly on Tuesday 25th June at 9.00-10.15am or 10.30-11.45 noon, and then on Tuesday 2^nd July at 9.00 - 10.15am or 10.30-11.45am. The exact timing of your child’s sessions on these two dates will be confirmed at the start of June via email.  We ask that parents stay onsite with their child during these visits, giving you a great opportunity to meet other parents and staff members. 

• There will then be further transition sessions during the first week of school in September, the details of which we will share with you at the parent information session.

 

We will be able to offer a full-time place for all children from September (after the initial transition period).
