GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Extra Curricular Clubs 2025-26 INFANTS

Lightwater Village Infant School is host to a variety of after school clubs, extending learning and activities beyond the formal school hours. Each club is run by a provider who uses the schools facilities for the venue. Clubs generally run for approximately 10 weeks, excluding half term and Inset Days.   

Full information and details on how to book our Autumn term 2025 clubs can be found within the information provided below. As spaces are limited, please do book early to avoid disappointment.   

Pupils eligible for Pupil Premium Funding will be supported to attend a club of their choice. For more information, please contact our Family Support Adviser

Our sessions are packed with excitement as young ballers learn the ropes of the game, make new friends, and, most importantly, have a blast on the court. Playball

Playball is a is a multi-sports programme that teaches life skills to children through sport and movement. Our progressive curriculum is designed and researched by Occupational Therapists and Sports Scientists, and is constantly being updated in line with the latest trends and findings. At Playball the children are in small class sizes and participate in games and skills that cover 8 sports; Football, Tennis, Rugby, Hockey, Baseball, Volleyball, Cricket and Basketball.

Acrobatics is a unique blend of dancing and gymnastic disciplines which has become very popular over recent years. At Elibah School of Dance they follow the Acrobatic Arts Syllabi which has five main focus areas: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering and Tumbling. If your Reception or Year 1 child likes to throw themselves around on the floor but needs more control and balance or if your child would like to improve their flexibility, then this club is for them!

Football (Years 1 and 2), 3-4pm (Autumn Term 1) 

First session - Friday 12th September - Last Session Friday 24th October    

In2Sport will be running their popular football club at Lightwater Village School. Children will be split into age groups and each week will follow a structured syllabus to teach each child a new skill and how to implement it into a game scenario. The sessions are fun, energetic and always allow for small sided games to finish to allow each player to flourish and express themselves. Some example sessions include, 1v1’s and 2v1’s, running with the ball, tight range finishing skills, dribbling and ball manipulation, turning away from a defender and more. To book a place on this activity please use the following link:

Boogie Pumps - Musical Theatre - Fridays - 3pm to 4pm

Does your child love to dance, sing and act? Then Boogie Pumps musical theatre club is the perfect class for you! Each session the students will work work on their dance, drama and singing skills, developing performance pieces to their favourite musicals!

Rock Steady - Fridays Mornings during the School day

Autumn Term - First session 12th September - Last session 12th December

Band lessons take place in school and there’s no experience necessary! All instruments for lessons provided. Choose if they shine on vocals, keyboard, drums, guitar or bass. Rocksteady band leaders are highly trained musicians who make learning an instrument fun.

Watch as your child boosts their confidence by performing in the end of term concerts
