Year 3 Admissions
Lightwater Village Junior School (formerly Hammond Junior School) admission arrangements are designed to be in line with Surrey County Council's determined admission arrangements for Community and Voluntary Controlled schools for the 2025-26 round.
The closing date for on time applications was 15 January 2025.
Late Applications
If you submit your application without a good reason after the deadline, your application will be treated as late. This may affect the possibility of your child being offered a place at one of your preferred schools.
- You can make a late application online using the eAdmissions website until 19 August 2025.
- Alternatively you can request a paper application by contacting the Surrey Schools and Childcare Service up to 31 August 2025.

Waiting Lists
Where there are more children than places available, waiting lists will operate for each year group according to the oversubscription criteria without regard to the date the application was received or when a child’s name was added to the waiting list.
Waiting lists are held until 31st December of the academic year applied for when they will be cancelled. Parents wishing to remain on the waiting list after this date must make an in-year application to Surrey County Council.
Children of Staff
Applicants who wish to be considered for priority admission for Lightwater Village School under the criterion of Children of Staff must complete the Supplementary Information Form available in Appendix 1 of the School Admissions Policy and below, in addition to the local authority application form.

Appeals

Admission of children outside their normal year group
The Department for Education (DfE) expects pupils to be educated in their normal chronological year group however should you wish for your child to defer your child's entry to Year 3 or be admited to a different year group please visit the refer to the School Admissions Policy for more information.
