Supporting Children with Medical Needs at Lightwater Village School

At Lightwater Village School, we are committed to ensuring that every child with a medical condition receives the care, support and understanding they need to thrive. We recognise that some pupils require ongoing or short‑term medical assistance, and we work closely with families, healthcare professionals and staff to create a safe, inclusive environment where all children can participate fully in school life.

If your child has a diagnosed medical condition including allergies, please complete and return an Individual Health Care Plan: 

LVS Primary School Health Care Plan 25-26

No child will be given any prescription or non-prescription medicines without parental consent except in exceptional circumstances. 

A copy of the Individual Health Care Plan and any appropriate medication may be kept in the school Medical Room/School Office to enable the trained first aiders to care for every student, in the event of an emergency.
