GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

A Grand Celebration

A fantastic celebration today as we marked a new chapter for Lightwater Village School, following the renaming of Hammond Junior School to Lightwater Village Junior School at the start of this academic year.

By officially bringing our two school settings closer together this enables us to provide a wonderful through provision for children in our community from ages 2 – 11.

We were extremely delighted that Al Pinkerton , MP for Surrey Heath and our local Mayor Louise Ashbery, were able to join us today as well as parents and carers, members of our PTA and colleagues from GLF Schools. On a glorious morning in the sunshine we were treated to a fabulous song, created especially for today, from children in Reception through to Year 6 to help mark this very special occasion. As the children returned to their classes our parents and carers enjoyed some tea and cake
