GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Science Week

Science Week

This week is British Science Week and the theme is ‘Growth and Change’. To celebrate the week, we have learnt about how science has changed over the years including how the prominence of women in STEM has grown. We have carried out various experiments investigating how things can change and grow. The children thoroughly enjoyed investigating skittles and making and measuring their own slime. We have also thought about the conditions different animals need to grow and in outdoor learning investigated the best nest for a penguin. It has been great fun!
