GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

Father Christmas Visits Lightwater Village School!

We had  a very special visitor at Lightwater Village School this morning. As Miss McCarthy sat down to read a story to the children in assembly, they seemed to be rather distracted by someone wandering around the playground. “FATHER CHRISTMAS” they screamed.

Father Christmas read out a letter he had received from Miss McCarthy- she had written to Father Christmas to say how proud she was of all the children for all their hard work and attitude to learning this term. Father Christmas then visited each class to read them a story and gave them a gift.

We had such an exciting morning!
