Year 1 News

This half term had been packed with lots of fun learning!

The children have particularly enjoyed our STEM project learning about animals. They are now experts in classifying animals and loved their trip to the zoo to see them in real life.

In Maths, the children have enjoyed being hands on learning about money. We have been learning what the different coins and notes look like, and what the value of these are. They have even role played, creating and selling their own items in a shop.

This term in wider curriculum we have been learning about grouping creatures into different groups. We then chose a creature to create. These photos are of Oak class creating them.
