GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.
After learning all about animals in Science, Year 1 went on a trip to Marwell Zoo. We got to see snow leopards, hippos, a tiger, flamingos, giraffes, zebras and monkeys. Before lunch, we attended a workshop on animal classification. We got to share our knowledge of amphibians, fish, reptiles, mammals and birds. We particularly enjoyed seeing what was in our pack lunches at lunchtime! It was a really good day out.
Each of our schools has its own distinct character and culture which is respectful of its community and context but their utmost common ground is that it is our staff that make each school.
